New Trial – The Cochrane Library

As described by the publisher, The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain high quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision making. Cochrane Reviews represent the highest level of evidence on which to base clinical treatment decisions. The Cochrane Library contains thousands of answers to healthcare questions. In addition to Cochrane reviews, The Cochrane Library provides other sources of reliable information, from other systematic review abstracts to technology assessments to economic evaluations and individual clinical trials all the current evidence in one single environment. It is published by John Wiley for The Cochrane Collaboration and is updated and expanded every three months. [1]

New Trial – InfoSci Books and Journals

As described by the publisher, IGI Global, InfoSci Journals “is a rapidly expanding full-text collection of peer-reviewed journals focused on cutting-edge, specialized topics in advanced technology research as well as the organizational, managerial, behavioral, and social implications of technology.”[1]

Companion resources InfoSci Books provides access to “chapters from every book and reference work IGI Global has published since the year 2000…with an especially strong focus on the role, impact, and effective use of technology across a variety of settings, including business, education, health care, government, and more.”[2]

DSM-IV-TR available in Trials

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is the American Psychiatric Association’s published guide to psychiatric disorders and their diagnosis.  The DSM contains information such as features of the disorders, prevalence and differential diagnosis.  The manual is used by mental health professionals from a variety of disciplines including clinical, research, administrative, and educational. DSM-IV-TR is the most current edition of the handbook available.

Science Direct is one of the largest online collections of scientific journals and monographs currently available. It contains millions of articles from over 2500 journals in the hard sciences, health & medical, business & management as well as social science disciplines.
