Introducing NetLibrary and IEEE Xplore
The Library has recently added two new databases!
NetLibrary contains many ebooks on a variety of subjects. It is especially useful for KAM students as it contains works by the most popular theorists. Some of the theorists included in the collection are:
- Amitai Etzioni
- Erich Fromm
- Jean Piaget
- Bertrand Russell
- Carl Jung
- James Kouzes
- Carol Tomlinson
- Zygmunt Bauman
IEEE Xplore contains over 227,000 full text articles and over two million abstracts on engineering and computer science related topics. It includes peer reviewed and professional magazine articles, as well as the most highly cited journals in the field.

Software and Systems Engineering Resources
Do you know about the computer science resources in the Walden Library databases?
We have hundreds of software and systems engineering journals indexed in our databases and many of these journals are in full text. You can find the journals in these Walden Library databases:
Computers & Applied Sciences Complete
Inspec – Institution of Engineering and Technology bibliographic database
NTIS – National Technical Information Service
and our new ScienceDirect database
To view our sizable full text Computer Science journal holdings, use our A-to-Z E-Journal List tool, found on the Research Databases page of the library website. On the A-to-Z page, scroll down to the Browse e-journals by subject section. Select “Engineering and Applied Sciences” from the subject list to see a subject heading for journals in this degree program. Click on the “Computer Science” link to view the journals in this subject area.
And if you find that perfect article without a full text link in our databases, don’t forget about our Document Delivery Service. Our lending partners at the University of Michigan and Indiana University-Bloomington have extensive full text holdings, including many IEEE journals. You can request up to 25 articles from DDS every month, at no charge to you. You can find information about DDS on the Library Services page of the library website.
